Drug Testing Services

There are several different situations where drug testing may be required; custody cases, court ordered, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, probation, divorce, sports programs, personal and workplace; are some examples of when drug testing is usually conducted. Workplace drug testing is the most requested service and is usually conducted by testing an individuals urine for the presence of drugs. Workplace drug testing can be a very effective deterrance technique to promote a drug-free workplace. Since state laws vary and are constantly changing, we highly recommend professional assistance when testing for drugs in the workplace.

Types of Drug Testing

MedTrac provides drug testing to meet your company needs to detect drug use including:

  • Urine Drug Testing
  • Oral Fluid Testing
  • Hair Testing

Urine Drug Testing

Urine lab based testing is one of the most familiar screening methods and the testing is performed at Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)-certified laboratories. In addition to the federally mandated (SAMHSA/DOT) drug panel, we also offer a variety of panels to meet your company's NonDOT testing needs. We also offer a 5 or 10 panel instant drug test screen with laboratory confirmation if needed. This is for NonDOT testing only.

Oral Fluid Drug Testing

Oral Fluid Testing is best used for NonDOT post accident and NonDOT reasonable suspicion testing because a drug can be detected with an oral fluid test in less than 1 hour ingestion of the drug and for most drugs the window of detection is usually about 5 to 48 hours after last use.

Some advantages to oral fluid testing

  • Elimination of issues associated with observed collections.
  • Specimens cannot be diluted and are very difficult to adulterate or substitute.

Hair Drug Testing

Many companies are opting to use hair testing along with urine drug testing for pre-employment tests because hair testing offers the longest window of detection. It has a window of detection of approximately 90 days. Depending on the length of hair the detection window can be longer. The collection is non-invasion, no body fluids are involved. We also provide court ordered hair testing.
